Dualbooting XP and OSX

image In order to dualboot XP and OSX on your eee PC you have to copy the chain0 file located in /usr/standalone/i386 to your XP partition (supposing that XP is on the 4GB partition and OSX on the 8/16GB one).

Then you modify the boot.ini file in the root of your XP installation (you’ll probably have to make it writeable by unchecking Read-only in the file’s Preferences) and add the line:

C:chain0=”Mac OS X86″

So it should look something like this:

[boot loader]

timeout=30

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS

[operating systems]

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS=”Microsoft Windows XP Professional” /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

C:chain0=”Mac OS X86″

Now you can easily select between the two operating systems.
